This is a full METAR map of Australia with LED’s representing METAR’s<\/a> all over the country\/region.<\/p>\n

The printed map is 1410mm x 944mm. When framed the total size is 1460mm x 994mm<\/p>\n

There are 3 map styles to choose from.<\/p>\n

Terrain Only: Terrain data is shown in the same colour scheme as the Australian VNC hypsometric tint.<\/p>\n

Terrain and Bathymetry: This style is the same as the Terrain Only style but adds Bathymetric data for underwater ocean depths.<\/p>\n

3D Terrain and Bathymetry: This style is the same as the Terrain and Bathymetry style but adds a hillshade which creates a 3D effect bringing a lot more detail to the mountain ranges and underwater features.<\/p>\n

All styles have the Australian Enroute Hi charts overlaid on top of the terrain.<\/p>\n

These maps use data from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM)<\/a> and General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

SRTM data is at a resolution of 1 arcsec which equates to around 30m per pixel and GEBCO is at a resolution of 15 arcsec which is about 450m per pixel.<\/p>\n

Each map also includes an inset of Cocos Keeling Island and Christmas Island.<\/p>\n

An LED light legend is also included by default but can be removed if requested.<\/p>\n

Due to the size of my larger maps and breakage in transit, I don't ship them with glass any more. <\/strong><\/h3>
